WHY SHOULD I SPONSOR A CHILD? As a child sponsor, you have the unique opportunity to holistically change the life of a child forever. You will be personally connected with a child living in one of 18 IGL children's homes. They will write to you and pray for you by name. Your child's care includes • family-style living, • Christian house parents, • nutritious meals, • medical care • an education • and more! Additionally, your sponsorship enables IGL to share Christ with your child's family through exposure to the gospel, medical care, literacy classes, women's groups and more.	WHAT WILL I RECEIVE AS A CHILD SPONSOR? • A complete child profile with a photo and information about your child and his or her family • A relationship with your sponsored child developed through written letters and photos • An annual Christmas card with updated pictures of your child The relationship you build with your sponsored child will change you both. One sponsor from Ohio said, "I don't know what I'd do without my (sponsored) kids. They have become very dear to my heart over the years. It's a pleasure to watch them grow up and know I played a part in their lives."	HOW DOES SPONSORSHIP WORK? Through your monthly gift of $30, your child will receive care in one of our children's homes and an action plan will be put into place for their family. You will receive your first “hello” letter from your child within two to three months after beginning your sponsorship. Each time you write to your child, they will respond with a letter. HOW DO I GIVE? Thirty dollars per month ($360 per year) sponsors one child for an entire year. • Choose length of sponsorship (from one year up to the year your child turns 15) • Choose payment method and frequency: automated monthly credit/debit card charge; online payment or check to the IGL office monthly, quarterly or annually • Choose to receive receipt by mail or email • Write your child’s first and last name and ID number on your check or in the appropriate field online. Automated giving on-line and choosing email receipts allows us to be good stewards of our resources by eliminating the need for additional postage on reminders and processing fees. If you choose to send a check, please send it to our office at: 1521 Georgetown Road, Suite 305, Hudson, OH 44236. Sponsorship contributions are tax deductible. IGL operates on just 15 percent administrative overhead, which is specifically designated toward the procurement of future child sponsorships. Eight-five percent of your gift goes directly to the care of your child.	CAN I SEND A GIFT TO MY CHILD? Yes! You can choose a gift from this list to celebrate your child's birthday or special holiday. Your gift will be chosen and purchased by an IGL house parent and given to your child on your behalf. Unfortunately, due to high costs of shipping, high import duties and restrictions by the Indian government, we do not accept packages to send to India. The good news is that you can send small, flat and inexpensive items that can fit into a 6-inch by 9-inch envelope. What to send: • Stickers • Bookmarks • picture postcards • small notebooks • Drawings by your children or grandchildren • Photographs Come and see for yourself. Every sponsor has the option of visiting his or her sponsored child. This is an amazing opportunity for you to see first-hand the ministry that is taking place in India and how your child is benefiting from the care they are receiving.
