Livestock does much more than feed the families that receive it. The animals provide the family with additional income by providing offspring and dairy products that can be sold for a profit.

Cows and goats are excellent sources of milk, and chickens provide proein-rich eggs that satisfy the needs of growing children and keep adults healthy and strong.

IGL's livestock program is regenerated through the return of the firstborn animals to the village for distribution to another family in need.
